Group coaching is essentially coaching a group of individuals to achieve an outcome. These groups of individuals may be existing teams working towards a cause (departmental team or project team) or a newly formed group to achieve a certain objectives. Coaching groups who continues to work together after the coaching sessions is normally termed as Team Coaching where the outcome may be to enhance teamwork and collaboration to achieve results while coaching groups in the latter situation where the individuals go their separate ways after the coaching session is generally called Group Coaching.

The skills involved in coaching a group is very different and often much more difficult than one-on-one coaching. This is because of additional group dynamics, diverse agendas, learning styles and diversity of cultures that the coach needs to contend with. Thus building trust among individuals and with the coach is often one key component of success in group coaching.


While one can coach individuals to transform and perform at a higher level, often this individual needs to work with his/her peers to produce results. Unless his/her peers are equally supportive and effective in the way they operate within this team, the results achieved is limited.

This workshop is designed to equip participants to coach in a group setting.
